Funny Internet Radio Is The Wave Of The Future

Funny Internet Radio Is The Wave Of The Future

By Peter Thatcher

Rows upon rows of cubicles fill one of many similar floors of one of many similar office buildings along many similar streets in a city that looks just like any other. Really, really boring streets full of boring jobs. Too many places in the United States are like this, and there is not very much that can be done about it. How do you suppose people who work these mind-numbing jobs survive? Funny Internet radio is the answer.

The main reason for this is due to the universal ability to plug in to the Internet. People already work directly with the Internet, so using it as a medium of entertainment as well is easy because the content is so close at hand. Also, the Federal Communications Commission has no authority to censor or ban content on the Web, so Funny Internet radio has free reign to be whatever the creator wishes it to be.

The reason these funny Internet radio programs are so much better than terrestrial radio on the FM and AM bandwidths is because the dreaded FCC has no reign over the content. No censorship means no content restriction, which means that funny Internet radio is controlled strictly by the users themselves. This is the way mass communication should have always been done. If a user is offended by the content of a funny Internet radio show, they don't have to listen. It's as simple as that.

These funny Internet radio shows range in the quality of the program all along the spectrum of professionalism. There are shows out there that are recorded in very professional studios with tons of expensive equipment and hosted by familiar celebrity names.

Famous comedians have started many very popular podcasts with a very high quality of production value and talent. Kevin Smith of Jay and Silent Bob fame and the popular comedian Doug Benson both have very popular podcasts. Doug Benson uses his to push the advocacy of Marijuana Legalization, which would never be allowed on a terrestrial radio station. Funny Internet radio can also be used for promotion as well, as the funny Internet radio show called FoulMouthRadio demonstrates. The grand thing about these podcasts is that user approval is the only thing that dictates the direction of the shows.

The smaller scale funny Internet radio shows may seem low-tech, but that doesn't matter. If the talent is there and the desire to put on a good show exists, then anyone can become a famous podcaster. Most listeners crave quality content over quality equipment, and the ratings of certain programs shows this. Funny Internet radio has become the perfect outlet for the everyman's voice, and the perfect trump to mass media's royal house.
