No matter what type of business you are in you have to find time to fit in some fun. It is a good idea to get involved in your community and the events that take place in it. Halloween is just around the corner and with that the opportunity to participate in many Fall Harvest and Safe Halloween events throughout your community. Each community usually has several events for the kids for several weeks prior to the actual holiday which gives you plenty of time to sort through and determine which ones you are going to have your business participate in.

If you don't know of any off hand then ask around and check with some of the local community organizations, schools, and churches. If at all possible you will want to choose the Halloween event that will be the most popular which will mean choosing an event that will occur within a week or so of Halloween and one that includes all kinds of fun, family activities like face painting, a haunted house, some games and maybe a hayride. This way you know that many from the community will be out there enjoying themselves and this will help increase the impact of your attendance at this event.

When at all possible put a sign or a promotional table cloth out to display your business name and logo and then pass out some free promotional items. You can choose to lay them out on the table or pass them out in promotional goodie bags. Either way you want to make sure that everyone at the even goes home with an item to help them contact you in the future. And if you decide to get promotional candies try to go for hard candy if the event is outdoors because some Halloweens are warm and this means chocolate may or may not be suitable depending on the weather.

Making the most of these community events Halloween is a great opportunity to showcase your business and participation is usually free. All you have to have on hand some small promotional items and gifts from some employees who are willing to wear and deliver them to the crowd.

Event organizers usually will help you take care of advertising, but you might want to hang a few flyers in your business and to assist and promote the popularity of the event. After all, you want to make sure as many people there as possible.
