Good Old Fashioned Service With A Smile

Good Old Fashioned Service With A Smile

By Kristi Ambrose

When you're looking for a reseller hosting program, their agreements should be carefully read before you agree to their TOS. Non-overselling web hosting is the most reliable way to go because you don't ever have to worry what's happening with your service quality. A marketing scam of overselling is being utilized so customers believe that a company can sell something that they do not have (and they think they can keep you in the dark about it.) You may be able to determine whether it's non-overselling or overselling, if you do your homework.

An example of overselling:
If their server has only a 300GB hard drive and 3000GB of available bandwidth monthly and they begin to sell hosting packages that include 10GB of disk space and 100GB of bandwidth monthly for about $4.95 a month, you as the customer don't know how many packages have been sold besides your own.

This means that if you do the math, the server will be full by the time they have sold 30 packages (30x10GB=300GB) and no more accounts should be created under that server (because you've paid for your share in unused space.) Yet due to greed and bad business ethics, they continue to add them since they figure nobody is going to use all the disk space that has been purchased and what they don't know won't hurt them, so what if they make more than double the profits?

When you are hosting a serious business website, this is Internet robbery. It's important to make sure that 100% of what you've paid for is available if it is needed at any time. Why should you get stuck overpaying? And suddenly when your website loads slowly and when you need more space, you get screwed.

Resource overselling pricing is lower than those which don't oversell theirs, but what kind of sound investment is it when they make money from something they have no right to sell because it belongs to you? It's best to ensure that you're getting your money's worth. What's worse is there are companies which offer unlimited bandwidth and disk space, which is completely impossible. Everything has its limit in cyberspace. And it's up to you to figure it out with a few simple calculations or get ripped off.

Finding a non-overselling web hosting provider can be challenging. First-class hosting is provided by some companies and websites and they will offer a simple non-overselling process which helps you save your money, time and data.

Their policy should be to ensure that zero overselling takes place to never allocate more resources than are available so that you don't ever have to worry about any problems with your service. Their top-of-the-line free software applications and website templates help create professional web pages.

It's also important to note that real tech support people and on-site Level three certified system/network administrators are available 24/7 every single day of the year to assist you via the help-desk. I think out of anything customer support is one of the most important facets of ANY company. If you cant get a hold of them then it probably isn't a good fit!
